A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking compensation of Tk 2crore for the family of each deceased in BM Container Depot fire and explosion at Sitakunda in Chattogram.

The petition also sought compensation of Tk 50 lakh for each of the injured in the same incident.

At the same time, the petition sought departmental inquiry into the accident and directives to take proper steps against the persons responsible for the incident.

On behalf of Law and Life Foundation, in the public interest, Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Md Humayun Kabir Pallab filed the writ petition.
